Subbies earn 10% extra at Maritime
Maritime’s fuel recovery scheme is a welcome relief against rising fuel prices. According to Tom Cole, Sub-Contractor Resource Manager at Maritime Transport, “Fuel costs have gone through the roof and the additional costs are crippling many owner drivers and small hauliers. Although the Chancellor of the Exchequer has postponed the 2 pence rise in fuel duty until October, it has done nothing to ease the concerns over diesel costs, which are at an all-time high.”
Introduced last year to demonstrate the Company’s long-term undertaking to its sub-contractors, Maritime’s fuel recovery scheme is geared to protecting one of the biggest components of cost for truck operators.
Set at an incredible 72 pence per litre starting point, excluding other costs, such as handling and VAT, Maritime’s sub-contractors are paid a fuel recovery over 72 pence per litre, to offset the rise in costs.
Small hauliers and owner drivers can take advantage of this amazing deal by contacting Tom Cole on 07966 310210 or by calling into any one of Maritime’s depots throughout the UK.
“Our existing sub-contractors are currently benefiting from a 10% fuel recovery and as fuel prices rise, their recovery will be even higher,” explained Cole.
“It’s a fair and unbeatable deal. Sub-contractors can enjoy continuous work, recover their fuel costs and safeguard their future profits,” said Cole. “It really does pay to be with Maritime.”
