Maritime Leeds with new depot

Having quickly outgrown its original base set up less than two years ago, Maritime Transport has relocated its North Eastern depot to a larger, permanent site in Leeds.

The new 1.5-acre site at Stourton, Leeds is ideally located for container transport operations in the North East, with excellent links to the M1 and M62 motorways and provides parking for up to 60 trucks. Today, five staff are employed at the Leeds depot with a fleet of 45 vehicles. The new site is protected by palisade fencing, CCTV and has Out of Hours security on-site throughout the week.

“We have established a first class operation in Leeds and the new facility provides an excellent platform to expand our operations and service our customers”, said Dave Boomer, Operations Director of Maritime Transport.

The Leeds depot services container traffic to and from the deep sea and feeder container ports, railheads and the Yorkshire area.
