UASC and Maritime united

Maritime Transport has been appointed sole contractor by Kuwaiti-based, United Arab Shipping Co. S.A.G. (UASC). The arrangement covers all transport moves in the UK in a landmark, long-term deal.

The business is managed at Thamesport with edi links between Maritime and UASC’s agents, Interfreight Shipping Services. An additional 35 trucks have been introduced at Thamesport and at other depots to provide a core fleet to support the business.

The deal not only provides UASC with a stable platform for growth, it also enables the carrier to maximise efficiencies with one transport partner. Maritime has been a supplier to UASC for over 20 years and this development cements a close working relationship in a deal which provides benefits to both companies.
