Marchwood move for Maritime

Maritime Transport has opened a brand new facility in Southampton. Located on Marchwood Industrial Estate, the new site extends to five acres with parking capacity for over 160 trucks and is ideally positioned to service customers calling at Southampton.

"This site is one of the few remaining plots in Southampton for container transport operations," says John Williams, Managing Director. "We are delighted to have secured it for the future."

Southampton is the largest of Maritime Transport’s operations and Marchwood has the capacity to park a total of 160 trucks and trailers. Currently, 15 staff are based at Marchwood, but the depot can accommodate up to 30 people, if required.


“The new depot is an excellent facility for container operations”, said Simon Smart, Operations Director. “The site is only minutes from the container terminals and the M3 motorway and provides a much needed, permanent base for our operations at Southampton."
