| O-Licence | See 'Operator's Licence' |
| Open Top Container | A freight container with no rigid roof and a movable or removable cover, normally supported on movable or removable roof bows. |
| Operator's Licence | A licence issued by Traffic Commissioners in the UK permitting the commercial operation of HGVs. |
| Out of Gauge Cargo | Cargo which dimensions are exceeding the normal dimensions of a 20' or 40' container, e.g. overlength, overwidth, overheight, or any combination thereof. |
| Overheight Cargo | Cargo exceeding the standard height. |
| Overtime | Work beyond normal established working hours that usually requires a premium to be paid to the employees concerned. |
| Overwidth Cargo | Cargo exceeding the standard width. |
| Owner-Operator | A person who owns and operates his own truck(s). |
