• John Williams – Managing Director

  (53) John has established, developed and run numerous successful transport ventures in the UK and Europe and has had an influential role in shaping the landscape of the transport and logistics industry in the UK over the last 30 years. John is the owner and Managing Director of Maritime Transport and is a Non-Executive Director of the Freight Transport Association (FTA).

• Alan McNicol – Group Financial Director

  (46) Previously General Manager Finance at Securicor/DHL. Alan is a highly talented Accountant with an exceptional understanding of all aspects of the business and asset purchasing, having worked in the industry for over 25 years. Alan joined Maritime Transport in 2001 as Financial Director.

• Andrew McNab – Business Development Director

  (46) With previous management roles at Hutchison Ports (UK) and at Securicor/DHL, Andrew has 19 years experience in sales and marketing in the transport, logistics and ports sectors. Andrew was appointed Director in 2001.

• Dave Boomer – Operations Director

  (44) Dave has worked the container transport sector since the early 1980’s. As an exceptionally capable transport manager, Dave has risen through the ranks at Maritime Transport at all levels of operations and was appointed a Director in December 2004.

• Simon Smart – Operations Director

  (45) Simon has a wealth of experience in transport operations having run his own successful container transport business in the 1990’s. Simon joined Maritime Transport in 2002 after a number of years at Securicor where he was General Manager and was appointed a Director of Maritime in December 2004.

• Derek Daly – Fleet Director

  (49) A qualified Engineer with 18 years large-scale fleet management experience, Derek has responsibility for fleet management at Maritime Transport and maintaining the premium status of all vehicles and trailers. Derek joined Maritime Transport in 2003 and was appointed Fleet Director in December 2004.

• Tim Goddard – IT & Personnel Director

  (47) Tim has worked in the logistics sector since 1980, having held senior management positions within shipping and transportation organisations in the UK, Continental Europe and United States. An experienced IT professional, Tim was previously General Manager IT and Personnel at Maritime Transport. He was appointed Director in 2011.

• Richard Lond – Finance Director

  (41) Originally, from a practice environment, Richard entered the transport industry in 1995. He joined Maritime Transport in 2003, taking on the management of the day-to-day accounting function. Previously General Manager Finance, Richard was appointed Director in 2011.
